No one has created more assists for team-mates than mighty tartan atom Erin Cuthbert, one of Chelsea Women’s true inspirations, writes Jane Grove.
The striker has scored four goals from five shots on target so far in 2019, according to the latest official published Opta stats, as Cuthbert gears up to playing a key role in Thursday’s Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain at Kingsmeadow.
But she also heads the assists list on three, jointly with Beth Mead and Lucy Staniforth.
Meanwhile, all-time WSL top scorer Nikita Parris is the leading markswoman in 2019 with five goals from only seven shots on target.
The season’s overall top scorer, Vivienne Miedema of Arsenal, has had the most shots on target in 2019 with 10, but has only netted two of them. Before January, Miedema had scored 14 goals from 36 shots on target.
