As Chelsea Ladies prepare for the first leg of their Champions League double-header against Monpellier in France, the date of Sunday April 15 has been heavily circled in red on the diary which hangs from a rusty nail in the changing room at Kingsmeadow.

It’s when the Blues face either Sunderland or Man City in the semi-final of the Women’s FA Cup following the draw on Monday.

The weekend’s snow dumps meant that only the Liverpool v Chelsea quarter-final went ahead, the 3-0 win being the perfect aperitif and confidence boost ahead of the jaunt to France.

Chelsea’s FA Cup opponents will be known this weekend, when the remaining ties – Durham v Everton, Arsenal v Charlton Athletic and Sunderland v Manchester City – are played on Sunday.

Both the semis take place on Sunday April 15, with Chelsea having home advantage. Both will be broadcast live on the BBC, with the final at Wembley on Saturday May 5 – a game currently clashing with Chelsea men’s home game against Liverpool… though that may yet be switched to Sunday for television broadcast.

Tickets for the Champions League semi-final leg against Montpellier at Kingsmeadow are now on sale for Wednesday March 28 at £6 for adults, £3 concs. For all ticket news, visit: http://www.chelseafc.com/teams/chelsea-ladies/ticket-information.html
